Closing Tour: Through Fu Luofei’s Eyes and Brush

Following the lecture A Self-Portrait on the Great Wall: Huang Shaoqiang’s Reflections and Lament, 1935, exhibition curator Cai Tao and artist Wang Xingwei will lead the exhibition’s closing gallery tour, Through Fu Luofei’s Eyes and Brush.

Bringing together the perspectives of curatorial research and artistic practice, the tour offers a final opportunity to revisit Fu Luofei’s paintings. It explores how the artist’s gaze confronted war, hunger, exile, and the realities of everyday life, and how his brush transformed these experiences into images that preserve the textures of history, the physical presence of lived experience, and the incisive force of realism.
