The young artist Hu Xiangqian, who lives in Guangzhou in his works opens up an empirical, romanticist practice and he himself often appears as the protagonist of this practice. In his old work Flying Blue Flag, this young man even fantastically entered an election as candidate for the position of village head. This performance was full of imagination and confidence in the integrity of the propaganda of the political system, but the outcome of the artist being declared ineligible to take part as a candidate in the election and being chased from the election on the other hand made the injustice of this game self-evident.
